2016 Census 2016 Census

This August is Census time. Filling out your census form will allow us to show the need for:

  • A new hospital
  • Dental and allied health services
  • Increase in teachers for our schools
  • More money for Council to deliver services
  • Retirement home and nursing home facilities
  • More Home and Community Care services
  • More pre-school and child care services
  • Better community and sporting facilities
  • Increased emergency services
  • More indigenous support services

It’s all about our people residing in Cook Shire – the Census will capture our population and create a snapshot in which we can focus our efforts in creating a more liveable region. It is vital everyone completes the Census this year, to support a growing town and support Council in its efforts for making Cook Shire more liveable and increase investment into the region. A growing region needs your support in ensuring your data is collected.
