Cook Shire Resilience Investment Initiative
This one-off opportunity is provided to eligible local businesses and organisations in Cook Shire, to support the process of economic recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic and to prepare for possible future business shocks.
Businesses and organisations are invited to submit a request for an investment of up $4,000 to increase their resiliency and capacity to recover from this event and future-proof their operations.

OBJECTIVES
Key objectives of this initiative are to provide assistance to local businesses/organisations by:
- Encouraging the development of business plans and business continuity planning in the event of a pandemic, biosecurity emergency or other disaster;
- Providing opportunities for the purchase of small equipment to build resiliency including, laptops, software and computer subscriptions, website development, digitisation and PPE;
- Assisting with the development of loyalty programs and marketing campaigns;
- Supporting business mentoring opportunities for industry success, economic development and economic diversity across the region in the short, medium and long term.
Eligibility
- An organisation that:
- has a majority of members or customers based within Cook Shire; and
- is a properly constituted not-for-profit organisation; or
- is a properly constituted for-profit organisation (where the intended project will not return a direct profit to the applicant); or
- is a charitable organisation registered or sanctioned under the Collections Act 1966

ALREADY FUNDED AND LOOKING TO ACQUIT YOUR GRANT?
A requirement of all accepted sponsorship funding from Cook Shire Council is to acquit the grant by the specified time frame.
