Community Connect Events
Cook Shire Council is calling on the community to contribute towards the Cook Shire Community Plan through a series of face-to-face events and opportunities being held across the Shire until the end of this year.
The first series of events that commence on Monday, 14 September in Hann River, marks the launch of Council’s comprehensive community consultation process that will also include a variety of other feedback forums, opportunities and channels, including an online survey, in order for the community to have their say.
The largest and most aspirational strategic plan, the Community Plan is a ten year, high-level plan for Cook Shire that identifies community needs and articulates Council’s and community’s long-term visions, aspirations and priorities for the community. The Community Plan involves the whole of community and includes a wide range of stakeholders and all levels of government. It also provides direction for the subsequent five year Corporate Plan and the annual Operational Plan.
To find out more about the Community Plan, read our FAQs and review the 2011-2021 Community Plan. You can also take the online survey here.
