PUBLIC NOTICE I COOKTOWN AERODROME RESEALING WORKS

Resealing works will commence at Cooktown Airport on Monday 29 November 2021 as part of the runway maintenance program. Consultation has occurred with stake holders and aircraft operators resulting in the aerodrome being closed to all aircraft except for an agreed number of Hinterland Aviation and other critical flights, which will allow morning and afternoon RPT flights with sufficient closure during the day to provide contractors time to reseal the runway each day.

The aerodrome will reopen from 5pm on Friday 3 December 2021. Should rain delay works, there may be a requirement to extend these works into the following week. The aerodrome will also be made available for emergency flights during this period.
