Background
Councillor Burns was previously an elected representative with Cook Shire Council from March 1994 to March 2000. Councillor Burns was employed by Wujal Wujal Community Council for six years maintaining parks and gardens.
He is now an authorised propagator with National Parks and operates a small nursery selling native palms.
Colin has a strong intrest in managing Cook Shire's coastal enviroment with regards to the steady increase in tourism. Colin has been a resident of the Shire for 30 years.
