Cooktown is a picturesque town and is the closest coastal settlement to the Great Barrier Reef and only 3 ¾ hours drive, or a 40 minute flight north of Cairns. The town has all services and amenities, including several sport and recreation facilities, hospital, local state school catering from pre-school to Year 12, as well as child care facilities and kindergarten.
