Councillor Ross Logan
I am 75 years young, a born and raised Queenslander. I made the best decision of my life marrying wife Roslyn 51 years ago, and made second best decision moving with three of our four children from Port Moresby to Cooktown 42 years ago.
My official qualifications are first instrument fitter and second small ships marine engineer; however, I consider myself a competent mechanical all-rounder.
I have served three previous terms as Cook Shire Councillor, including on the first elected Council after 30years under administration. For the last almost 10 years I have worked for Cook Shire as a waste management operator at the Cooktown Waste Transfer Station.
I have experienced local government in Cook Shire from the top down and the bottom up. I think the next four years are going to be fascinating.
