The Cooktown Races occur every year during July. For the past two years, the Cooktown Amatuer Turf Club have funded their race meeting after the withdrawl of funding from Queensland Racing. This will be their third self funded Race Day.
The Races are a great day for the whole family, with raffles, fashions on the field, and the five race program. Licenced bar on premises. Dance the night away from 8pm at the Presentation Dinner Dance.
