The Cooktown Jazz Club presents an evening of fabulous music and food at the Verandah Restaurant at Nature’s Powerhouse located in the magical setting of the historic and beautiful Cooktown Botanic Gardens from 7pm on 12 August 2006. The Gardens themselves are well worth the visit, containing many of the 200 biological specimens identified by Joseph Banks and Daniel Solander when Captain Cook called in for ship repairs.
Nature’s Powerhouse is an Environment Interpretive Centre that also contains art galleries, bookstore and gift shop.
