Invitation to Attend
Local Government Week 28th May to 3rd June 2007
Local Government Week (LGWeek) is an annual event which allows councils throughout Queensland to promote their important role within their own communities.
The week provides opportunities for the public to learn more about Local Government .
Cook Shire is inviting residence and visitors to join them in a FREE Sausage Sizzle
which will take place at Cook Shire's Office, 121 Charlotte Street, Cooktown
on Friday 1st June 2007 from 10.00am to 12.00noon.
Many of the Shire's local School aged children participated in a colouring competition, their entries will be on display as well as information on Cook Shire Services and Departments.
This year's theme is "Driving Queensland - Pathways to Progress" celebrating Department of Main Roads contribution to the community, which is very fitting for our region, with the completion of the Mulligan Highway last year.
