Under section 21(3) and section 78(2) of the Right to Information Act 2009, Council is required to publish information and documentation relating to:

  1. Agency information, location and contacts, constitutional and legal governance.
  2. The services offered by the agency, including advice and guidance, booklets and leaflets, transactions and media releases.
  3. Financial information relating to projected and actual income and expenditure, tendering, procurement and contracts.
  4. Strategy and performance information, plans assessments, inspections and reviews.
  5. Policy proposals and decisions. Decision making processes, internal criteria and procedures, consultation.
  6. Current written protocols for delivering our functions and responsibilities.
  7. Information held in registers required by law and other lists and registers relating to the functions of the agency.
  8. Decisions made under the Right to Information Act 2009.

Council Information

Information on Council's location and contacts, constitutional and legal governance can be found throughout this website, specifically under the Council Page, within Council's Corporate Plan and Annual Reports and under the various State and Federal pieces of legislation to which Council is accountable. The Queensland Government publishes timely and accurate information (including copies of) Queensland Acts, Bills, and subordinate legislation (the Office of Queensland Parliamentary Council). Specific information or queries can be directed to Council's Administration Office.

Protocols for the Delivery of Functions and Responsibilities

Written protocols for delivering Council's functions and responsibilities can be found throughout this website, specifically under the Council Page, within Council's Corporate Plan and Operational Plan, and under the various pieces of State and Federal legislation to which Council is accountable.

Disclosure Log (s78 Right to Information Act 2009)

Section 78 of Queensland's Right to Information Act 2009 requires Council to publish a disclosure log whereby all documents released and viewed under a Right to Information application are published, subject to certain conditions: documents published must not disclose personal information, and the release will be subject to review by any interested third party.

The Corporate Plan outlines the long term goals and vision for our community and the outcomes that Cook Shire Council must deliver in the period of the plan to continually move the community closer to that vision.
