Issue of Rates Notices
Notices for the 2012-13 financial year will be issued half-yearly for:
- General Differential Rates
- Water Charges
- Sewerage Charges
- Refuse Collection Charge
- Environment Levy
- Rural Electrification -
The due date for payment is defined as being thirty (31) days from the date of issue of the rate notice.

If you are the holder of a Queensland Centrelink Concession card and your Cook Shire property is your primary place of residence you may be eligible for Pensioner Remissions. If you are not currently receiving a concession on rates for your, you are encouraged to make application by 20th July 2012. Click on the application form below to download and complete if you are eligible.
To be eligible you must be:
- The holder of a Centrelink Concession Card.
- The owner or life tenant of the property, which is your principle place of residence.
- Legally responsible for the payment of Council rates and charges levied on that property.
Those pensioners currently receiving a concession on their rates do not need to reapply. However, it is a requirement that you notify Council if your circumstances have changed.
Paying your Rates
Receipts will not be issued unless requested. If a receipt is required, please tick where indicated on the front of the bottom portion of the Rate Notice. Receipts cannot be issued for Internet Banking.
