MARINA PLAINS ROAD - EAST of MUSGRAVE ROADHOUSE

This is black soil country which becomes very sticky and boggy when wet.

COOKTOWN to LAKELAND DOWNS

Bitumen road. Beware of wallabies and cattle, particularly early morning and late afternoon.

Subject to flooding at Little Annan River and McLeod River crossings during the wet season.

Fairview-Palmerville Road from Fairview Outstation turnoff past Fairlight Station  

There are gates around Palmerville Station - please ensure you close these gates after passing through.

These gates should NOT be locked.

MT WEBB - WAKOOKA (including Princess Charlotte Bay)

Dirt road - because of the isolation of this area, you are advised to ensure others know your expected date of return.

The middle section of this road is a 4WD "Adventure Track" for experienced 4WD drivers only.

It is mandatoryfor any persons embarking on this road to carry with them self-sufficient recovery gear and means of communication to outside emergency services (have satellite phone, VHF radio phone), as well as first aid equipment; safety equipment and extra supplies

KOWANYAMA

MT AMOS

QUARANTINE BAY
