2.8 kms out of town along the Cooktown Developmental Road (Hope St.), this river is now crossed by a new concrete. The old 19th Century wooden bridge is still often used by fishers and offers a great place to relax and catch some great fish.
Council would like to remind visitors that Camping is not permitted in this area as set out in Local Law No. 22.
