A beautiful secluded beach, it is accessible by a 1500 M walking track from the Cooktown Botanic Gardens, or from half way up Grassy Hill which has a sign on a bench on the right hand side of the road. You'll need medium fitness to do the walk, but it is worthwhile. Both these walks are part of the Scenic Rim Walking Track.
The beach is quiet, surrounded by mountains and trees, with a little creek off to the left. Crocodiles inhabit this little creek, so beware, but if you want to watch for them, there are sandy dunes nearby.
