ANNAN WATER TREATMENT PLANT
Electrical and SCADA Upgrade
This project will increase the reliability of the Cooktown water supply, increase the safety of on-site operators and reduce maintenance costs and outage times.
Location:
Annan Water Treatment Plant. 20 km south of Cooktown.
Scope:
Replacing all of the Electrical cabling on-site, as well as replacing all of the controlling computers and motor controllers.
The design has been completed and a Contractor has been engaged to perform the on-site works
The upgrade includes all of the following:
- Power cables
- Switch boards
- Distribution power boards
- Motor control centers
- Cable marshalling panels
- Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) circuitry
- Instrumentation cables
- Plant actuators
- Industrial Computers, Programmable Logic Controllers, PLC
- Human Machine Interfaces, HMI
- Remote Terminal Units used for data collection, RTU
- Software for the control systems
- All supporting hardware such as cable ladders and in ground cable trenching.
Budget:
Anticipated Total Project Budget = $2,918,000
This project is proudly funded by the Queensland Government through Stage 6 of the Building our Regions ($2,500,000) and the Works for Queensland ($418,000) funding streams.
