2024 Land Valuation Roll
The valuation roll will be available for inspection by any person at Cook Shire Council's Main Administration Building, located at 10 Furneaux Street, Cooktown, in coming weeks

Please be advised that the annual valuation made by the Valuer-General of all lands in Cook Shire will come into effect on 30 June 2024.
Land valuations provide independent data that underpin decision-making and allow landowners to monitor the changing value of their land. This information is used for determining state land rentals, and maybe used as an input to rating and land tax considerations by entities such as local governments and the Queensland Revenue Office. The valuation roll will be available for inspection by any person at Cook Shire Council's Main Administration Building, located at 10 Furneaux Street, Cooktown in coming weeks.
During this time the public can view the roll and are asked to observe the following:
- To ensure a complete public record, customers are asked NOT to tear or remove pages from the valuation roll booklet.
- Due to the bound nature of the booklet, customers are not able to photocopy pages from the document.
- Customers ARE permitted to take photographs of the pages using their smart phone.
- An electronic version of the display listing is available online via www.qld.gov.au/landvaluation
- Customers are encouraged to sign up to recieve their next notice via email by going to the land valuation website and updating their details.
