PUBLIC NOTICE | PART CLOSURE OF COOKTOWN BOAT RAMP

Please be advised that due to construction works at the Cooktown Wharf area, that there will be a part closure of the Cooktown Boat Ramp in place from 6am Monday 5 June 2023 until 6 pm Friday 9 June 2023.

We have consulted with several boat users and businesses, and have arranged that in order to minimise disruptions to ramp users, the construction team will close one side of the ramp at a time. This will still allow launching of vessels from the other side.

Traffic management and safety controls will be in place.

It's anticipated that businesses will be open/accessible to run their operations as per usual during the construction period

The community is requested to please be patient when accessing the boat ramp and be mindful of heavy plant and construction machinery that will be operating in the area.

If accessing the area during construction to access the boat ramp, please let the site staff and traffic controllers know, follow their instructions and be aware of workers/pedestrians in the area, signage, and diversions that are in place.
