COUNCIL WANTS TO KNOW ABOUT OUR LOCAL SPORTING LEGENDS

Nominations are now open for this year’s NQ Sportstar Awards. With a whopping seven different awards up for contention, we want to know who you think Council should nominate for the award.

Community members are encouraged to nominate anyone you think deserves the title of 2022 Sportstar of the Year.

Submit your nominations here, before 10 pm on Sunday 18 September.

All nominees will then be presented for Council consideration at a Councillor Workshop on Tuesday 20 September 2022, so make sure you add as much detail and information as possible to your nomination. 

Categories include:

• Senior Sportstar of the Year
• Junior Sportstar of the Year
• Masters Sportstar of the Year
• Athlete with a Disability Sportstar of the Year
• Alan Ticehurst Memorial Award for Service to Sport
• Team of the Year Award
• Sporting Excellence Award
