PROJECT OVERVIEW

Replace the 80mm AC water main with 100mm uPVC water main

PROJECT PURPOSE The 80mm AC water main is at the end of its life and starting to fail. Most main breaks experienced by Council in Cooktown are due to the failure of 80mm AC 
IMPACT OF WORKS Some traffic interruptions, especially during road crossings at Walker, Hogg and Howard street intersections with Helen street. Some parking interruptions across the road from the IGA. Traffic speeds down to 40km/hour in areas around water main works. Road patching on road crossings.
