If you have not been to the heritage-listed Cooktown Botanic Gardens for a little while, then now really is the time. Thanks to the hard work and dedication of Council's teams, they really are looking blooming brilliant!

Due to extensive damage caused by fire and vandalism, the public toilet facilities at the Bamaga Rest Area will be closed for repairs until further notice.

In October, Council's Animal Management team visited Laura and Coen as part of Cook Shire's Healthy Dogs Program offering house-to-house visits and complimentary flea, tick, and worming treatment, and they're on their way back in December!
