Cooktown 150th Commemorations
In October we're commemorating 150 years of Cooktown being founded, with a bush dance on Friday 20 October and a free community barbecue on Wednesday 25 October.

Cooktown Discovery Festival
The Cooktown Discovery Festival is one of Cook Shire's most popular and long standing events, with the highlight being the re-enactment of Captain James Cook's arrival on the banks of the Endeavour River in 1770 and the interaction between the Europeans and the First Nations people.
