Cook Shire Council owns and maintains a significant network of underground water and wastewater mains which deliver water throughout the towns and collect and treat sewage from homes and businesses.
Some of the major assets which help Council achieve these services are:
- Three water treatment plants
- Two wastewater (sewage) treatment plants
- 11 water storage reservoirs
- 15 bores
- One weir
- One dam
- 19 pump stations
- 80km of water mains
- 37km of sewer mains
