Cooktown Discovery Festival

About the Festival

The Cooktown Discovery Festival is one of Cook Shire's most popular and long standing events, with the highlight being the re-enactment of Captain James Cook's arrival on the banks of the Endeavour River in 1770 and the interaction between the Europeans and the First Nations people.
