Sunset with Santa
It was a sell-out crowd that gathered at the Cooktown Pool on Saturday 12 December to welcome Santa to town and celebrate Christmas in Cooktown

Community members enjoyed a cool swim in the pool, free iceblocks, a Christmas hamper and kids received presents from Santa and his QFES helpers.
The Cooktown Amateur Swimming Club provided a BBQ as a fundraiser for the club and raised $1380.60!
The evening concluded with a dive-in movie on the big outdoor cinema screen.
