PUBLIC NOTICE | INSTALLATION OF BOULDER BARRIERS ADJACENT TO COEN OVAL
Permanent boulder barriers to be installed on the track at the southern end of Coen Oval from Monday 20 February 2023.

Please be advised that boulder barriers will be installed east of the Mungkan Street, Great Northern Road junction, at each end of the track running adjacent to the Southern end of Coen Oval (indicated in the image below) from Monday 20 February 2023. Weather pending, works are anticipated to be completed by Wednesday 22 February 2023
The boulder barriers are being installed to prevent vehicles from accessing the area and come after reports of vehicles driving dangerously on the track prompted local residents to raise concerns about pedestrian safety with Council.
