Survey and mapping of Cooktown water infrastructure
Please be advised that a contractor has been engaged to survey and map Cooktown's water infrastructure that will play an important role towards recording, maintaining and upgrading Council infrastructure.
10 April 2024 - 04:55PM
Council has engaged a contractor to survey and map water service infrastructure in Cooktown.
The work will start from Monday, 15 April and will last for approximately 6 weeks. Most of the work will be undertaken between Mondays and Fridays.
Surveyors will primarily be used to locate and map water meters and valves within the Cooktown area only. The works will generally not require access to private properties, but may take place on property boundaries where water meters exist.
The water service will not be interrupted and all contractors engaged in the works will carry identification should you have security concerns.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to improve water infrastructure and services in our community
Should you have any queries, please contact Cook Shire Council on 4082 0500
