TMR Roadworks Notice | Wallaby Creek Bridge, Shiptons Flat Road

We have been advised by Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) that they are about to start bridge inspections and maintenance on Wallaby Creek Bridge, Shiptons Flat Road. This is part of TMR’s regular bridge maintenance program to ensure the continued safety and reliability of bridges on the state-controlled road network. 

The works will require intermittent full bridge closures from Monday 29 to Tuesday 30 April 2024, weather and construction conditions permitting. Crews will be on site from 7am to 5pm. The closures will be at the following times:

Closed            8.00am - 9.00am

Open               9.00am - 9.15am

Closed            9.15am - 10.15am

Open               10.15am - 10.30am

Closed            10.30am - 11.30am

Open               11.30am - 11.45am

Closed            11.45am - 12.45pm

Open               12.45pm - 1.00pm

Closed            1.00pm - 2.00pm

Open               2.00pm - 2.15pm

Closed            2.15pm - 3.00pm

Open               3pm onwards 

Work crews will ensure emergency services are provided with access if required.

Variable Message Signs (VMS) are in place in key locations to ensure motorists are aware of the changed traffic conditions.
