PUBLIC NOTICE | MELALEUCA STREET WORKS AND TEMPORARY CHANGES TO TRAFFIC CONDITIONS
Melaleuca Street, Cooktown
Please be advised that works to upgrade Melaleuca Street in Cooktown (between Charles Street and Boundary Street) will be commencing on Tuesday 4 May 2021.
Works will include sealing the road, clearing areas of the road reserve, and strategic removal of problematic and dangerous trees to improve traffic flow, drainage, and community safety.
An exclusion zone for the works has been marked out.
The road will be open to traffic and traffic management measures, including signage and a bypass, provided to maintain traffic flow and minimise potential disruption.
Anticipated date of completion for these works in 30 June 2021.
Please pay attention to signs and drive to conditions.
