COVID-19 FINANCIAL SUPPORT

Local economies across the state are again facing unique challenges due to COVID-19 lockdowns and border closures, and the State and Federal governments have announced various programs and grants to support those affected. Businesses and individuals across Queensland, not just in the 11 Local Government Areas that are currently in lockdown, may be eligible for financial support through a variety of grants including:

COVID Grant Support

Business Support Grants

$5,000 grants are available for eligible small- and medium-sized businesses across all industries throughout Queensland. State Treasurer, Hon Cameron Dick MP, announced this week, "this payment is higher than most other states, recognising the short interval between lockdown in South East Queensland, and the unique circumstances faced by regional economies." Applications will open mid-August.

Small Business COVID-19 Adaption Grant Program

Grants of $2,000 to $10,000 are available for eligible small businesses to adapt and sustain their operations and build resilience during these challenging times. Applications for regional Queensland businesses close 5 pm this Friday, 6 August 2021.

COVID-19 Disaster Payment

Individuals in Queensland who have not been able to work due to COVID-19 lockdowns may be eligible for this lump-sum payment.
