MOVE IT IN 2022!

Thanks to funding from the North Queensland Sports Foundation (NSQF) Move It Cook Shire is back this February with a number of free yoga classes.

Class Overview:

Move It Cook Shire Morning Yoga

Introduction to Yoga Sessions

Choose from one of two sessions designed to give you an introduction to yoga and build your understanding and confidence to join other classes. Learn and try some basic poses and explore various breathing and mindfulness techniques to help calm the mind and body.

SESSION 1:   Saturday 5 February, 8.30-10.30am
SESSION 2:   Sunday 13 February, 3.00-4.30pm

Move It Cook Shire Teen Yoga 3


Teen Yoga Four-week Course

Designed to help young people befriend their bodies, calm their minds and manage the everyday stress and anxiety of teenage life, this class can also improve flexibility, strength, balance, stamina, and sleep.  

TIME:      4.15-5.15 pm
DATES:  Thursdays commencing 10 February 2022 (4-weeks)
PLACE:  Cooktown Wellbeing Centre

Move It Cook Shire 60s and Better Yoga

Yoga for 60s and over

Retrain your body, revitalise your mind and revitalise your energy as this class revisits some basic movements to improve your mobility and enhance longevity.

TIME:      9.30-10.30am
DATES:  Wednesdays commencing 9 February 2022 (8-weeks)
PLACE:  Cooktown Wellbeing Centre
