Bar and Food Opportunities - Bush Dance Cooktown Discovery Festival

Cook Shire Council invites submissions from not-for-profit/community groups (the organisation) for one or both of the fund raising opportunities available at the Cooktown Discovery Festival Bush Dance to be held at the Cooktown Shire Hall for approximately 150 people (including children).
BAR SERVICE – Friday 16 June 7.00pm – 11.00pm (plus set-up and pack down)
- Ability to obtain a Liquor Permit
- At least one person must have a Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate (can be obtained online through any Registered Training Organisation).
- Community group to supply alcohol, water, soft drinks, volunteers and other equipment required to operate bar. (Tables will be provided)
PROVISION OF FOOD – Friday 16 June 7.00pm – 11.00pm (plus set-up and pack down)
- Sale of light food and snacks
- Cooking and serving equipment (small non-commercial kitchen is available on site) – tables will be provided.
- Food Safety Certificate (depending on food sold)
- Volunteers
EVALUATION CRITERIA:
Council will assess the submissions received and make their selection based on:
- Evidence of public liability insurance;
- Benefit to the community, including partnership with other groups
- Evidence of, or ability to obtain RSA and community liquor permit
Submissions close at 2pm on Wednesday 3 May 2023 and must be submitted via the submission form
