Arts and Culture in Cookshire

Cook Shire Council has a strong commitment to arts, cultural and heritage activities in the Shire. In order to continue to grow, support and develop the sector Cook Shire Council is formulating a new Arts and Cultural Strategy.

A complete, reflective and responsive cultural Strategy will encourage participation, celebration and creative expression throughout the Shire. It will contribute significantly to the community’s identity, its sense of place and its civic spirit. It would also greatly enhance the wellbeing and cohesion of the community, as well as economic development in the region.

Council invites individuals, community groups, arts and non-arts organisations throughout the Shire to share their vision for the growth of the sector by completing the online survey. The survey is part of a wide-reaching community research and consultation process. Your input is valuable and important and the survey should only take five minutes to complete.
