14 April 2021 - 09:47AM
Waymbuurr Warra Traditional Owners and Cook Shire Council, would like to invite the Guugu Yimithirr and Kuku Yalanji families and communities, and the wider Cook community to celebrate the installation of artworks at Reconciliation Rocks.
Before it gets officially opened as part of the Cooktown and Cape York Expo 2021 celebrations, you're invited to kick back, relax and celebrate the story of the first recorded act of Reconciliation that took place in Cooktown in 1770 where it happened - in the beautiful surrounds of the newly revitalised Reconciliation Rocks Precinct.
TIME: 12 noon - 2 pm
DATE: Thursday 22 April 2021
PLACE: Reconciliation Rocks Precinct
A sausage sizzle and cold soft drinks will be provided, so all you need to bring is water, hat, and a picnic blanket.
RSVPs are essential for catering purposes, so please email sgibson@cook.qld.gov.au by 5pm Monday 19 April 2021
