COOKTOWN SWIM CLUB RECEIVES COUNCIL SPONSORED MARQUEES

On Tuesday 25 May 2021, Cook Shire Mayor Peter Scott, and Councillors Peter Burns, Marilyn Morris, and Ross Logan presented the Cooktown Swimming Club with two co-branded marquees that the club has been able to purchase thanks to sponsorship from Council combined with their own fundraising efforts.

The marquees will provide the club with much-needed shade and shelter for members, competitors and their families during training sessions, fundraising activities, club meets, and swimming carnivals, as well as help to easily identify the team amongst the carnival crowd.
