Cook Shire Council Water and Wastewater Department owns and maintains water reticulation systems in Cooktown, Lakeland, Laura and Coen.  This includes:

• 3 Water Treatment Plants
• 9 water storage reservoirs
• 14 bores
• 1 weir on the Annan River
• 1 dam in Coen
• 3 water pump stations
• 84 km of water main

Wastewater Infrastructure

Cook Shire Council Water and Wastewater Department owns and maintains wastewater reticulation systems in Cooktown, Laura and Coen.  This includes:

• 3 Wastewater Treatment Plants
• 10 Sewerage Pump Stations
• 69 km of sewerage mains.
