2024 ANZAC Day Services

Join us this Thursday, 25 April 2024 as we honor and remember our heroes with ANZAC Day Services being held across in Ayton and Cooktown. Pay tribute to our brave servicemen and women at the following locations throughout the day.

COEN

Dawn Service hosted by Coen Police and Coen State School and Cook Shire Council

5:45am Gather at Heriage House
6:00am Service to commence immediately followed by a cooked breakfast BBQ
** Community members are encouraged to bring their own ANZAC wreaths to lay **

COOKTOWN

Dawn Service hosted by Cooktown RSL Memorial Club

6:00am Service to commence near the Powder Magazine at the far end of Webber Esplanade

ANZAC Day March and Public Service hosted by Cooktown RSL Memorial Club

10:15am Assemble at Cooktown RSL to march to the ANZAC Memorial Park 

11:00am Public Service at ANZAC Memorial Park (or Cooktown PCYC if wet weather persists)

12 noon Back at the RSL Club for lunch and entertainment

AYTON/BLOOMFIELD

ANZAC March &BBQ hosted Bloomfield River District Residents Association

10:30am Morning Tea at the Tin Shed

11:00am Gather at Ayton Store

11:30am March and Service

12 noon Free community BBQ and refreshments
