Update | Charlotte Street Revitalisation
13 May 2021 - 12:32PM
Stage 1 works on the revitalisation of Charlotte Street are progressing. Extensive ground preparations, including the removal of soft spots and debris, and the stabilisation of the subgrade are now complete, allowing for the laying of the gravel that is now in progress.
From Monday 17 May 2021, kerb and channel works will commence. Followed by the shared path installation and asphalt sealing. These works are anticipated to continue until Wednesday 30 June 2021.
During this time, the section of Charlotte Street between Boundary Street and Hogg Street intersections will remain closed to all traffic, allowing restricted vehicular access for residents wanting to access their properties.
Council staff will be personally visiting residents to advise them of the restricted vehicular access times during the project.
Residents are kindly asked to please park in the temporary parking areas on Howard Street, Boundary Street and Hogg Street during the times.
The existing pedestrian pathway will divert around the construction works.
We thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation during these essential works and apologise for any inconvenience this might cause.
If you have any specific access requirements, questions or comments about these works, please contact Council on 4082 0500.
