PUBLIC NOTICE | BRIDGE INSPECTIONS SHIPTON'S FLAT ROAD AND PDR

We have been advised that the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) will be inspecting bridges on Shiptons Flat Road and Peninsula Developmental Road (Laura – Coen) as part of maintenance works. 

Bridge inspections are regularly completed to ensure the continued safety and reliability of bridges on the state-controlled road network.

The inspections will be carried out at the below locations and times:

• Wallaby Creek Bridge, Shiptons Flat Road - 18 and 19 October 2022
• Mungumby Creek Bridge, Shiptons Flat Road – 20 October 2022
• Hann River Bridge and Hann River Overflow, Peninsula Developmental Road – 21 October 2022

Crews will be onsite between 6:30 am and 6:30 pm. Intermittent full bridge closures will be required throughout the inspections of up to 15-minute periods throughout the day.

TMR has arrangements in place to provide emergency access if required.

For the safety of road users and maintenance crews, changed traffic conditions will be in place including reduced speed limits and temporary full closures under the coordination of traffic controllers while the works are carried out. Road users should plan their travel accordingly.
