Cooktown Foreshore And Webber Esplanade Revitalisation Project

Successful applications to the state government's Royalties for Regions and Local Government Grants and Subsidies programs have provided $3.5 million and $500,000 respectively, to allow completion of the Cooktown Foreshore and Webber Esplanade Revitalisation project. Council has been working towards this key development for the past 10 years.

The Waterfront Master Plan (2012) identifies how public investment in community infrastructure will be a catalyst for private investment in the town, providing an economically diverse approach to regional growth.
