Public Notice: Burning at Mt Tully

Controlled burning of green waste at Mt tully

Cook Shire Council advises that due to favourable weather conditions, residual green waste is being burned at the Mt Tully Waste Facility today.

This burn involves green waste that could not be mulched—such as oversized branches or material contaminated with items like nails—which makes it unsuitable or too costly to process.

Council has obtained the relevant permit from the Marton Fire Brigade, and all appropriate safety measures are in place.

Please be mindful of smoke in the area, drive to conditions when travelling in the area.

Council thanks the community for their understanding.
