To ensure your event is included on the What’s On in Cook Shire events calendar, it must meet the following criteria:
- Location: The event must take place within the wider Cape York region, stretching from the Palmer River up to Pajinka (commonly known as “The Tip”).
- Accessibility: The event must be open to the general public, ensuring inclusivity for all interested participants.
By sharing your event on our calendar, you’ll be helping to foster community spirit and encourage greater participation across the Cook Shire. We look forward to showcasing your event.
How to upload your event
To ensure your event gets listed, simply fill out the form below, and attach an image or event artwork. Please note the following requirements:
- Mandatory Information: Items marked with an asterix are mandatory. You wil not be able to submit your event unless all these fields are completed.
- Image size: Ensure your image file is no larger than 2 MB.
- Aspect ratio: Images should be submitted with a 16:9 aspect ratio (1920 x 1080 pixels).
- Image requirements: No event posters please. Images or artwork should not include event details (such as date, time, or location); only the event name is acceptable.
- File format: Use standard image formats such as JPEG or PNG for submissions.
- Event description: Provide a concise and clear event description, including essential details like date, time, location, and any relevant links.
Once you’ve submitted your event, it will be vetted by Council’s Communications and Engagement team to ensure it complies with the above requirements. If successful, it will be published on Council’s website within five (5) business days.
