IMPOUNDED ANIMALS
If not claimed by the owner, animals with no identifying microchip or tag will be held for three days only, identified animals will be held for five days only. Following these time periods, ownership reverts to Council and Council may deal with the animal in accordance with the Local Law.
Please contact Council during business hours (8.45am to 4.45pm weekdays) if an animal belongs to you and you would like to arrange release.

We do not have any jurisdiction over animal cruelty or complaints about animal welfare. All of these matters need to be raised with Animal Cruelty and Animal Welfare, which is governed by the RSPCA.
