Cook Shire Council advises residents that a section of Ida Street, between May Street and Garden Street, will be partially closed to traffic from Tuesday 17 June to Wednesday 18 June 2025, with works possibly extending to Thursday 19 June, dependent on weather conditions.
This closure is not a Council project and is being undertaken by Ausco Modular to facilitate the installation of modular houses using a crane.
Local access will be maintained, however delays may occur during crane operation.
Motorists, particularly those travelling to and from local schools, are encouraged to use Amos Street or Power Street as alternative routes during this time.
