Cook Shire Council, in partnership with Queensland Police, is proud to host the Queensland Blue Light, Blue Lures School Holiday Fishing Competition in Cooktown.

This free family-friendly event is open to children and young people aged 8–17 years. It’s the perfect opportunity for kids and teens to enjoy the outdoors, try their hand at fishing, and take part in a safe and fun community event. With great prizes, giveaways, and a free BBQ, the Cooktown Fishing Comp promises to be a highlight of the September school holidays.
