Cook Shire Council invites tenders from suitably qualified tenderers for the establishment of a preferred supplier arrangement (PSA) for the cleaning of Council buildings and amenities as described in more detail in Part 5 – Scope.
Tenderers will be required to clean according to a shift and by roster and outside of work hours at the following buildings and amenities in Cooktown:
- Main Administration Building
- Council Depot Complex (including offices and workshop)
- Parks and Gardens Depot
- Waste Transfer Station
- Public Toilets
It is anticipated that the contract will be for a period of three (3) years, subject to satisfactory performance and availability of funds, with an option to extend the contract for a further two (2) years, at Council’s discretion.

A site inspection has been scheduled for Wednesday 24 September; interested Tenderers should meet at the Main Administration Building, Furneaux Street at 7.30am
Tenders must be lodged here by no later than 2pm on Wednesday 15 October 2025.
Council reserves the right to invite all tenderers to change their tenders to take account of a change in the tender specification.
