We have been informed that the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR)will be carrying out bridge inspections on Little Laura bridge on the Peninsula Developmental Road, south of Laura.
The inspections are part of TMR’s regular bridge maintenance program to ensure the continued safety and reliability of bridges on the state-controlled road network.
The bridge inspections are scheduled for Friday 26 September 2025, and will require intermittent full closures of 30 minutes, followed by 15-minute periods allowing traffic to pass through.
The bridge will be closed at the following times, weather and construction conditions permitting:

Variable Message Signs (VMS) will be in place in key locations to ensure motorists are aware of the changed traffic conditions. Changes in work dates due to poor weather will be posted on the VMS.
Work crews will ensure emergency service vehicles are provided with access if required.
