Coen residents are invited to come together for a morning of connection, wellbeing, and disaster readiness at the Coen Community Day on Wednesday 8 October 2025.
The event will run from 10 AM to 12 PM at the Apunipima Wellbeing Centre and is part of statewide activities marking Get Ready Week and Mental Health Week.
Delivered in partnership with Apunipima Cape York Health Council, Queensland Health, and supported by Cook Shire Council, the Community Day will provide a relaxed setting for residents to:
- Chat with officers about mental health support and disaster preparedness
- Try hands-on activities like making their own stress ball
- Learn more about the State Emergency Service (SES) and how to get involved locally
Attendees can also enjoy a free morning tea, take home useful information, and go in the draw to win a lucky door prize.
