Local businesses invited to connect, collaborate and capitalise on key Cooktown developments

Cook Shire Council, in partnership with the Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Service (TCHHS), is hosting a Business Networking Function on Tuesday 28 October from 5.00pm to 6.30pm at Shipwreck.

The evening will feature updates on two of Cooktown’s most significant new developments — the new Cooktown Hospital and the new IGA. Representatives from TCHHS will provide an overview of the hospital project, while the IGA will share details about their exciting new supermarket development.

While the speakers themselves will focus on project updates, the event is designed to encourage local businesses to start thinking ahead — to plan, collaborate, and position themselves to make the most of the opportunities these major projects will bring.

Cooktown is on the cusp of growth, and this event is the perfect platform for businesses to connect, share ideas, and discuss how the community can collectively benefit from the investment, economic activity, and workforce these developments will attract.

For those interested in attending, please RSVP by Tuesday 22 October for catering purposes by emailing mail@cook.qld.gov.au
