Cook Shire Council advises the community that an air-conditioning upgrade is scheduled for the Cooktown Events Centre Gym, commencing Monday 12 January.
The contractor has completed all preparation works and is now ready to proceed with the system changeover.
To enable these works, the existing air-conditioning system will be shut down from Monday, 12 January. The new system is expected to be operational between Wednesday and Friday of the same week.
Council thanks gym users for their patience during this period and will provide further updates if required.
